Costa Rica real estate with a Realtor born there, who knows the country, its laws, and where to look

Soy tica y soy Realtor: le explico el proceso según las diferencias entre Costa Rica y su país, con un equipo a su disposición

I was born in San José and grew up in San Isidro de El General, in Pérez Zeledón. My dad always said: know your own country before you travel to others. So I did, and my work took me to even more places. On every visit I still discover new places, and now I take my children to discover them too. That is the Costa Rica I share with you, step by step, with a team I trust.

MY COSTA RICA

Where I work in Costa Rica

Sunrise over the water in the South Pacific of Costa Rica

South Pacific

Pacific Coast: Quepos and Manuel Antonio to Ciudad Cortés

The area I know best, and it has it all: archaeological sites unique in the world, beautiful quiet beaches, whale watching, places to build your dream home, a calm life, marinas, and small airports all along the coast.

Mountain lakes and peaks near Chirripó

Pérez Zeledón

The south, below Chirripó

El Valle del General, where I grew up. A place full of history, built by brave, hard-working people, with battlefields from the 1948 civil war. Big companies and many local businesses side by side, tobacco fields, cattle ranches, and rivers to swim in. It is the most used gateway to Cerro Chirripó, close to Dominical and the South Pacific beaches, and nearby you can visit the Boruca indigenous reserves, see their traditions, and buy their crafts.

Los Santos

The mountains

Mountains with a wonderful climate, and another side of Costa Rica. Some of the best coffee in the country, river fishing, and one of the best places in the Americas to see the quetzal. Costa Rica holds about 5% of the world's biodiversity, and here you find animals like the tapir, plus beautiful places to visit or live. Stay a season or a day, then drive down to the beaches of Quepos and Manuel Antonio.

San José

The capital, where I was born

The capital, where I was born, with museums and historic places. With Heredia and Alajuela it forms the Greater Metropolitan Area: restaurants, nightlife, and the busiest international airport. Live in the middle of the city or in a mountain cabin, or start your business.

The Caribbean

The other coast

A unique region: delicious Caribbean food, dream places, beautiful sunrises, and great spots for snorkeling, surfing, diving, fishing, or just relaxing. On the Caribbean side, from Turrialba, you can visit indigenous reserves and go white water rafting. Great investment opportunities too.

LIFE IN COSTA RICA

What I love about Costa Rica

I love everything about Costa Rica: the peace you can live with, and the famous Pura Vida, which is a way of life more than a saying. Walking on empty beaches, eating a good ceviche, walking for hours in the mountains hearing nothing but the monkeys and the birds.

The land and nature

Nothing is better than walking on a beach or in a forest, visiting a volcano, driving the mountain on a clear day, or watching the sunrise. In one day you can go from the mountains to the beach, watch artisans make their crafts, eat real Caribbean food for lunch and be home to sleep, or see the sunrise on the Caribbean and the sunset on the Pacific. From a mountain top, you can even see both oceans at sunrise.

The people, the Ticos

What I love most is the people, and the energy of a country of peace that wants to move forward. Ticos live Pura Vida every day: hard-working, helpful, innovative, polite, and always ready to help others, especially visitors. And sharing a boca, a small plate, with friends to recharge.

Own a little piece of paradise, wherever you live

Private property is a right in Costa Rica, like in the U.S. A foreigner can own titled property with the same rights as a Costa Rican, and you do not need to live there. Our team includes an attorney who checks the title and advises you well before you buy.

OUR HISTORY

Finca La Lucha

The original home of José Figueres Ferrer, Don Pepe, who won the Civil War of 1948, abolished the army, and later served as president of Costa Rica. Today you can walk through his house and his gardens in the mountains.

WHY BUY WITH ME

Why buy with me in Costa Rica

Born in San José

Costa Rica is where I was born and grew up. I could talk all day about why to live or invest there: mountain, beach, or city, a business, luxury, or something simple. There is something for every taste, and I know the questions to ask.

Spanish first

Spanish is my first language, but it is more than speaking Spanish. It is understanding everything people say, because words do not mean the same everywhere, and reading what words do not explain. So nothing gets lost: not with the seller, not with the attorney, not in the paperwork.
